Why come to the Costa Almeria

The year round warm temperatures attract many golfers to the Costa Almeria, making this an ideal location for golfers based in Europe. 

The cost of golfing is typically lower than in the UK. This allows you to get on the courses and stay there for as long as you like without worrying about the cost.

The golfing community is well developed with many players returning year after year, so getting advice from those who know the courses is easy! This is a good thing as some of the courses have been designed to challenge even the best of the best! 

Nothing is left to chance when considering the comfort of the golfer. The bars restaurants and health clubs are of a very high standard and make it easy to relax after that round of golf.

Desert Springs Par 72/6179m

 

This 18 hole golf course is set on a plateau above the dry Almanzora river valley. 

This is the first desert golf course in Europe and is built to full USGA standards, designed by Peter McEvoy. 

The lush green fairways, springs, dry river beds, rock and cactus areas and waterfalls contrasted with arid yet vividly coloured desert surroundings sets this golf course apart from any other!

Marina Golf Mojacar Par 72/5464m

This 18 hole golf course is situated in Mojacar playa. The course opened in 2000 and is designed by Ramon Espinosa. An interesting course as it combines flat fairways near to the sea and undulating terrain on the mountainside. A challenging course for the golfer!

Playa Serena Par 72/6070m

This course is situated in the popular town of Roquetas De Mar.  The 18 hole course is designed by Angel Gallardo and Peter Allis. The course has a flat character and is beautifully manicured. There are plenty of water displays and bunkers which add to the challenge and accuracy of the game. This course will provide an excellent game for golfers of all abilities. 

Golf Almerimar Par 72/5981m

Situated in El Ejido in the southern side of Costa Almeria.  The course consists of 18 holes and it is designed by Rob Kirby and Gary Player. The large greens and tree lined fairways are maintained very well. The course is a challenging round for all players.

Valle Del Este Par 71/5391m

The Valle del Este Golf course is 18 holes, it opened in 2002, near to the towns of Mojacar and Vera. It is designed by Jose Canales. The course is created well and utilises the landscape to offer different challenges to the player. The course provides a good test to the golfer and is classed as another "must play" course! It is an appetising round for players of all levels.

La Envia Par 70/5775m

La Envia is probably the most hilliest course in the area. This 18 hole course, designed by Francisco Mendoza is situated in a valley with superb views, near to the town of Enix. It is suitable for the beginner, but also provides a good challenge for golfers of all levels.

Cortijo Grande Par 72

Set in the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera mountains, near to the towns of Turre and Mojacar.  This is a 9 hole golf course with another 9 holes planned, it opened in 1976 and is designed by Paul Polansky.  This is a perfect course for beginners.  The relatively flat course lines it's fairways with lemon, olive and orange trees. Whilst playing, you can take in the stunning views of the Sierra Cabrera.
